Caught my Cats Mating !!!

For once, I was finally able to catch them "in the act" of mating....and it produces these lovely, cute little red hearts all around them ....thought I would share











This was the 2nd mating that took place on its own...normally I pair everyone up and miss the mating !

Wildwood Cats Notice

I was over at the Wildwood Store today and noticed the following sign:










Just a reminder to update your current kitties to 1.3; so you will be able to breed out the new varieties; or you can buy new starter kitties that are 1.3; either way.

You need to do this update by 4 February; per Wildwood !

Hi there, so now a little about me, I have been in SL, for a while, and I love blogging and I love these little kitties, I am very interested in the creative side of Second life and so enjoy doing quirky things and probably writing quirky articles for you to read.  I think Nerin and I will complement each other in the blog, I will be  Dr.McCoy... to her Mr. Spock.

Mandatory Update ..

Just to let you know I updated my cats,yesterday and it appeared to be very straightforward. I do not have any pregnant cats in my colony right now. Basically I rezzed up the Updater and let it get on with it, It basically looked for the cats one by one, popped a box ontop of them for a few seconds and then the box disappeared and the update was complete. We now have another section to our stats, *Body* interesting to see what this new feature will bring to our cats.

  • Ears: Common
  • Tail: Common
  • Shade: Sleek
  • Body: Common

I cut and pasted the notecard which came with the updater, just in case

**Make sure you are in the right group for your cats when you use the updater!
If you are on a land that requires a certain group in order to rez objects, please be sure to set yourself to that group when updating your cats!

 
**If the cat mysteriously goes "Unhealthy" at 1% Nourishment, simply RE REZ the cat!
For some unknown reason your cat randomly decides to go unhealthy during the update, please simply pick up and re-rez the cat! If you are having SL Lag/Rez issues, do not do it until it clears up or you may end up losing your cat due to it!

 
**Pregnant cats do NOT update!
You will have to wait for your cat to give birth in order to update your cat! Do not try to force it to update!

 
**Do not force sick cats to update!
If they are sick, you will need to heal them first before updating! If you do not, they will in turn break and we will not be obligated to repair them! The updater is not a tool for curing/healing/restoring sick cats!

 
**Service on 1.2 cats will end on the 4th of February! This way there is a week for people to get ahold of the updater and update their cats!

One of the most fun things about the Sims selling breedables are the cute displays that people make to home their cats.

 I saw this one at Z Couture, totally loved the whole pirate theme, I played around with the wind light settings until I thought I found one that fit with the theme, it was called Pirate which I thought was apt. This particular display was created by Neo (neo.lancrae) and I think his store is called Neo Demonia Cat.

In Second Life.....

I was wandering around Z Couture looking at the cats and their displays, when I came across this wonderful little Pointed with purple wings and a fluffy tail. I just stood there and stared at it. The wings are scripted and opened and closed slowly as I watched. It was so adorable. The person with this supercutsey idea is Lunasea Broome, The Kitty was priced at 1000L lindens, but I don't know if she will throw in the wings with it, because of course it is not a trait, but an attachment, but hey, it might get added into the gene pool we never know.. wouldn't it be fun though.

In Real Life....

The Flittens of Mewingham Manor, by Laura Von Stetina

A few years ago, I found these beautiful little ornaments, which were basically little kittens in a variety of poses but all with wings. I think the series had about 25 models in total, I have a lot of them, but unfortunately not all., I was a big buyer on Ebay for a while collecting these kittens.I have the one pictured below.
